Welcome. By way of introduction, my name is Liz Ledtke and I am a printmaker and surface pattern designer.
I grew up in West Michigan and attended Hope College. Now I spend my days with my husband and our three boys in the charming Northern Michigan town of Traverse City.

My work celebrates handmade prints, from intricate and detailed to simple and delightfully imperfect. Printmaking is a lovely process where ink variations and slight registration shifts contribute to the beauty and charm of the final piece.
The process of drawing, carving, printing, scanning, editing, and finally pattern design is involved but so rewarding. Many of my prints are floral motifs but I am always drawn to classic plaids and bold stripes.
There is something deeply meaningful in giving or receiving a gift made by hand. With this in mind, my work celebrates the joy of creating and the delight in sharing. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: that creating by hand — slowly and intentionally — is an invitation to connect, to delight, to hope, and to celebrate.
